Zita Lena

On December 31st, 2020, Zita Lena passed away peacefully in her sleep at age 90 after having a stroke the preceding week.

Zita immigrated to Canada from Italy in 1958 and lived a long and happy life with her husband of 64 years. She dedicated her life to her family and her church. Cooking for her family was her passion. She always ensured everyone had plenty to eat and spoiled her grandchildren with their favourite dishes, even if it meant another trip to the grocery store, or making four different dishes. At her parish, she sang in the Italian choir every Sunday and on many special occasions. She was actively involved in the Seniors Club, organizing special feasts, baking crostoli, helping out in any way and especially playing her favorite game tombola.

Zita is survived by her husband Sante, her children Lucy, Ermes and Angela, grandchildren Daniel and Flora, Andrew and Dianne, Nadia and Vito, Sonia and Ashley, and finally her great-grandchildren Lucas and Olivia, Conrad and Conan.

Respecting the current situation and pandemic restrictions, the funeral service and entombment will be private.
