In Loving Memory of Zaro Zahary Meloff (May 20, 1928 - January 15, 2024).
Zaro Meloff, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, peacefully passed away on January 15, 2024, at 6:45 pm, at the age of 95, surrounded by the love of his family at the Weston Terrace Community Home.
Born on May 20, 1928, in Toronto, Zaro was the beloved husband of the late Margaret Meloff, and together they shared a lifetime of love and companionship. Zaro was the dear brother of the late George and late Minnie Micaleff.
A social butterfly and the kindest of men, Zaro had a wide circle of friends and numerous hobbies that brought him joy throughout his life. He was a man of many passions, including golf, hockey, bowling, horse races, and the thrill of watching planes take off and land. Zaro's zest for life extended to his love for travel, with journeys to Alaska, England, Spain, Florida and beyond. You could always count on Zaro and one fond memory was taking his grandkids early every weekend morning on their newspaper routes and having a joyful breakfast of McMuffins and hot chocolate. Zaro's second home was the Central Restaurant in Weston, where he enjoyed the company of friends, creating lasting memories and sharing laughter over the years.
Zaro's legacy of kindness, warmth and devotion will endure through his surviving family members, including his daughter Gail Kiroff, his grandchildren Steven Kiroff (Gina) and Chris Kiroff, and his great-grandchildren Nikolas, Jonathon, and Hailey.
Zaro Meloff's absence will be profoundly felt by those who were fortunate enough to know him. May his generous spirit, devotion to family, and enduring influence bring comfort to those who mourn, and may his soul find eternal peace.
