Yousef (Joe) Hattar

It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Yousef (Joe) Hattar on November 12th, 2021 at the age of 74. Joined in heaven with his parents Saleh and Khadra, father in law Raffoul, mother in law Farideh, his brothers Antone and Henna, his sisters Fadwa and Eva, and his brothers in law Simon and Walide. Loving husband to Mary and beloved father to his son Samer, daughter Lana Marie and daughter in law Claudia. He will be dearly missed by his beautiful grandson’s Jack and Anthony, his brother Yacob, his brothers in law Sam (Cunie), and Wadie, and sister in law Muna (Jesus), along with all his nephews and nieces.

A loving family man who put his family first and above all else, he was known for his booming baritone voice - breaking out into song anytime and anywhere, especially at family get togethers - and for being a human GPS from all his years as a professional driver and chauffeur, he was a great friend to so many. He loved his Maple Leafs, his Blue Jays, and a good old lively game of poker with his son, brothers in law, and nephews. Yousef, affectionally known as Joe to so many, will be dearly missed by his loving family and countless friends.


In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to World Vision (specify: Middle East) or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
