It is with profound sadness that the family of York Kent McLean announces his passing. After years of various health issues and his ability to weather through the multiple storms he faced, God called him home. York peacefully passed away on Tuesday, June 1st, 2021 at the age of 84.
He was a loving and devoted husband to his wife Alma, a loving father to Carol, Devon, Cornel, and Trevor. He was a wonderful and proud grandfather to Shellian, Shaun, Samantha, Cyle, Jamar, Symone, Chenee, Kerron, Javante, Cheyenne, Chanel and his many great-grandchildren.
York will be lovingly remembered by his many siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family and great friends.
York was a tailor by trade, he worked at Charterways upon his arrival to Canada and he also worked with Go Transit (Metrolinx) for many years until he retired.
We were each touched by his presence and we are better because of that. We know he is at peace now. Now it's our turn to live life to the fullest and keep York's legacy alive."
