Winifred Slee

SLEE, Winifred “Win” Joyce (nee Barnes)
Passed away peacefully after a brief illness at the age of 93 with family by her side. Win is predeceased by her husband David Slee who passed away on April 1st, 2014.
Win was born in Bristol England on July 24, 1921 and emigrated to Canada as a war bride after meeting and marrying her first husband Norman Ring. After Normans sudden passing Win travelled the world. In the mid sixties she met and married David Slee, the love of her life. Together they travelled and enjoyed time with family and friends. Win worked at the University of Toronto retiring from the Faculty of Arts and Science in 1987.
She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends both here and abroad.

At Win’s request no public visitation or service will be held.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
