It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Win, suddenly on Monday February 26, 2018 at Brampton Civic Hospital in her 85th year. Predeceased by her husband Leslie (2012). Beloved mother of Karen (John), Michael (MaryKae), and Sheelagh (Gary). Granny of Kali, Meg, Ross and Shyla, and of Heather and Robbie, and Granny Bean to Craig. Great Granny of Odin. She is survived by her sister Marjorie (Stan) Borthwick of Australia. A special thank you to the Brampton Bridge Ladies for all their support and friendship. We also would like acknowledge Dr. Burkett and all the Palliative care nurses at Brampton Civic Hospital. Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home “Brampton Chapel”, 52 Main Street South (Hwy 10), Brampton on Saturday March17th from 1:00 -3:00 P.M. A Celebration of Win’s life will be held in the chapel at 3:00 p.m. A reception will follow the service at the Meadowvale Cemetery and Funeral Centre, 7732 Mavis Road, Brampton. In Lieu of flowers, donations to the Brampton Civic Hospital’s Palliative Care/ Oncology would be appreciated. A true Scot at heart but will always be a Canadian through and through. A longtime fan of the Maple Leafs, Blue Jays, Raptors, Team Canada and all sports in between.
