It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William Kenneth Erskine who left us suddenly but peacefully Monday evening at his home in Etobicoke, Ontario, surrounded by his loving family by his side. Born on March 8, 1938 in Toronto to the late John and Dorothy Erskine.
He is survived by his wife Marlene and his loving children; Brent (Karina), Graeme (Jaspal), Julee (Dan) and Todd (Julie). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Kristina, Dima, Mikayla, Tyler, Sitara, Sachin, Daniel, Emily and Ella.
Loving brother to Irene Bloor (late Charlie), late Doreen (Ross Golden) and late Carolyn (late Charlie Ciftcikara). Loving brother-in-law to Murray Moffatt (Maureen) and Lorry Moffatt.
Ken was a retired Toronto Blue Jays Director of Operations. Nary a family friend, nor relative were overlooked by Ken in providing them with their first summer job at Exhibition Stadium with the Blue Jays. His reach and impact to family, friends and the community was exhaustive.
Ken graduated from York Memorial Collegiate and went on to Ryerson to study business and play basketball and football.
Ken married his high school sweetheart Marlene Moffatt on June 29, 1963. They celebrated their 50th Anniversary just a few short years ago with friends and family.
Ken enjoyed his retired years by reading, watching sports, doing crosswords, going to the theatre for movies, and absolutely anything his grandchildren did.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to either Credit Valley Hospital or Central United church.
