William (Bill) Ramsay 1935 – 2021
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Bill Ramsay on March 28 at the age of 86. Bill was a devoted husband of Patricia Ramsay (predeceased), loving father of Lee, Elaine and Gayle and father-in-law to Ed and Jeff. He was a beloved grandfather to Lindsey, Daniel, Holly and Rebecca and great grandfather to Cadance. Bill will also be missed by his sister Barbara Cuccio, her children Steven, Wendy, David and Wendy’s husband Terry.
Bill was born and raised in Toronto and met his future wife, Pat, at a Church Youth Group before moving to Brampton to raise their three girls. He was an avid traveller and some of the families most cherished moments were spent camping across Canada with the cat Blackie in tow before settling down at Highland Pines. Bill was a proud Scotsman who had affinity for single malt scotch, made shortbread and Trifle every Christmas and truly believed that why pay someone to do something when he had three capable daughters at his disposable. Bill and his daughters embarked on many projects together including building a slightly too big shed, opening/closing the pool every year and replacing eaves troughs on the house just to name a few. Spending time with his family and friends was his greatest joy in life and he will be dearly missed by all.
The family would like to thank the staff at Tall Pines for the care provided during Bill’s final years. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society or Bethell Hospice would be appreciated.
