ASHBOURNE, William Frank

Peacefully on October 20, 2015 in his 87th year. Bill was born in Toronto April 14, 1929 and had a distinguished leadership career with United Cooperatives of Ontario. Predeceased by his devoted wife of 55 years Mary Elizabeth and beloved daughter Mary Susan. Loving father of John (Karen), Catherine (Paul Gray), Peter (Adele), David, Stephen (Susan) and Margaret (Bill Townsend). Papa was very proud of and will be missed by his 18 grandchildren Robert, Melanie (Alex Wright), Russell, Melissa, Christine (Matt Shumka), Marie, Michael, Dianne, Katie, Charlie, David, Scott, Catherine, Mark, Paul, Heather, Elizabeth and Stephen, and one great-grandchild Joseph. Friends will be received at Ward’s Funeral Home (Weston) at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 24, 2015 with service to follow at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. Condolences may be sent to the family through the Book of Memories.
