WILLIAM JAMES 'BILL' ALLEN Entered eternal life peacefully after a short stay in hospital with cancer on Sunday, July 19th, 2009 (a few days before his 86th birthday.) Bill, born in North Bay, was one of 10 children. He will always be cherished by his wife Alberta (nee Brohman), his children Pat (Jim Holmes), Ruth (Cliff Friesen), Jim (Linda Craig), Mary (Gregg Rodgers), and Joe (Ruth Curran); his 13 grandchildren - Jason, Danny and Melissa Holmes, Kim and Kent Walmsley, Jackie, Theresa and James Allen, Adam and Melina Rodgers, Shane, Cameron and Caleb Allen, and his 14 great-grandchildren - Kristie, Eddie, Lillie, Jack Henry, Elle Mae, Owen, Adam, Matthew, Michaela, Wyatt, Bethany, Eric, Fiona and Eila. Also survived by his sister Alma Todd and brother Fr. Richard Allen. Bill worked in the elevator business for most of his life and after retiring worked with his son Joe at Derrydale Golf Course and also made custom clubs. Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 'Brampton Chapel', 52 Main Street South (Hwy. 10), Brampton on Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at St Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 66A Main St S., Brampton.
