Wendy Tyre

In her 92nd year, only child of Thomas and Lily Martin. Survived by her husband Bill, son Thom (Suzanne), son Marty (Donna), daughter Cindy (Barry) and son Jock (Heather). Grandchildren Trev and Matt, Amy, Brett, Jessica and Eve, Dylan and five great-grandchildren.
Born in Toronto, Wendy spent most of her life in Oakville. During the war years, she met Bill and they married in 1944. She was a lifelong member of the IODE and a member of the congregation of St. Cuthbert’s Anglican Church for over 60 years.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Oakville Trafalgar Hospital – Renal Unit or Canadian Kidney Foundation.
The family would like to thank the renal staff at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital and Wyndham Manor for their care, as well as Peter from Total Care. Many thanks for the great support from Jill and Dianne.
Family and friends will be received at Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville, on Wednesday, March 12th, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Cuthbert’s Anglican Church, 1541 Oakhill Drive, Oakville, on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow.
