ANAKA, Warren Patterson
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Warren on Sunday, February 18, 2018.
Warren was a vibrant happy soul with many challenges in life; he was mentally challenged at birth and then in his early 50’s he became physically challenged. None of his challenges stopped him from loving life and he would talk the ear off anyone who would listen (and some who didn’t). He always loved a party or family gathering and fit himself into the theme and mood. He had a tremendous love for music, especially country, however he developed a liking for jazz, blues and rock & roll as Elvis Presley was his idol. Warren showed all of us who knew him well how to deal with adversity, compassion, and empathy. Each of these great qualities made each of us better for having him in our lives. He was taken far too soon at age 62 and will leave an unfulfilled void in all our lives. We love you Warren
Warren is survived by his brother Wayne (Patricia) Anaka and his sister Georgina (Joe) Vitale.
He is also survived by his nieces Nadine Anaka and Jaclyn (Tim) Austin and nephews Greg (Katie Mitchell) Vitale and Leano (Danielle) Anaka. Warren’s youngest great nephew Weston Mitchell-Vitale gave Warren tremendous pride in using his new title of “Great Uncle Warren.” He also acquired 3 great nephews James, Patrick and Aiden through Leano’s marriage.
Sadly, Warren will never get to meet his next great nephew or niece, “baby Austin” expected to arrive in May. We know he will be up in heaven watching over all them.
Warren was predeceased by his parents Sheila and Greg and his nephew Danny.
