WARDINE JUNE LAPOINTE
March 24, 1927 - August 25, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wardine June Lapointe in her 95th year, peacefully in her home and surrounded by her family.

Wardine is survived by her loving husband of over 73 years, Claude, and her four children, Claudine (Michael, predeceased), Larry (Sue), Ross (Angela) and Lisa (Joe).

Lovingly remembered as Nanny by her 9 grandchildren Daryl (Jenelle), Craig (Kailey), Lee, Joel, Aidan, Bridget, Kyra, Anthony and Andrew, and 7 great grandchildren Riley, Autumn, Charlotte, Grace, Brin, Hendricks and Hudson.

Beloved sister to Claudette Fligg (and the late Don) and predeceased by her brother Jack Broome (and the late Gwen). Cherished Auntie Dene to many nieces and nephews.
Wardine will always be remembered for her strength, generosity, kindness, love for her family and, of course, her beautiful smile.
The family wishes to thank the team at Thornbrook Homecare, in particular Corina, Roma, Elaine and Edna, for their loving care and support over the past few years. Thank you also to the palliative care team at the Temmy Latner Centre for their care and compassion.

Effective March 15th, 2021, as per the mandate of the Bereavement Authority and to safely manage and adhere to social distancing requirements, please RSVP for the visitation and service.

Wearing of masks or face coverings by everyone is mandatory as per the Provincial Regulations.

The family has also provided the opportunity to livestream the service, so that you may participate from the comfort of your home. A link will be provided on the day of the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Kidney Foundation of Canada, Ontario Branch or the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care (Sinai Health Foundation) would be appreciated by the family.
