Walter Loftus

LOFTUS, Walter Robert 'Bob' C.D. - Passed away peacefully after many years of declining health on November 30, 2009 at the age of 85. Loving and caring husband of Shirley for 48 years. Beloved father of Robin, Gail, Brian and Kathy. Grandfather of 9, great-grandfather of 7 and great-great-grandfather of 1. Also survived by 4 sisters. Predeceased by his parents, 5 brothers and by Evelyn, his oldest sister and best friend. He will be dearly missed by his feline friends Jody and Danielle. Past Master of Mizpah Masonic Lodge and Charter Member of Chinguacousy Lodge. Retired from the City of Etobicoke after 23 years of service. Special thanks to Grant Waddell for all his kindness and support. Mr. Loftus will rest at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Rd. (north of Lawrence Ave. W.), Weston on December 7, 2009 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. A Masonic Service will take place at 7 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Philip's Anglican Church, 31 St. Phillip's Rd., Etobicoke on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 10:30 a.m., with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Church Army in Canada Inc., 105 Mountain View Dr., Saint John, New Brunswick, E2J 5B5, would be appreciated.
