Walentina Lojowsky (nee Moltschanenko)
October 17, 1925 – July 27, 2024
It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Walentina Lojowsky on July 27, 2024 in her 98th year. She was born in Krym Ukraine to parents Nikolai and Anastasia on October 17, 1925. In her teenage years she moved to Germany, and eventually met her husband of over fifty years, Iwan, with whom she is now reunited.
Together they moved to Delhi, Ontario and eventually to Toronto, where they owned three businesses together. She is also now reunited with daughters Nadia and Nadia. Walentina will be greatly missed by her surviving children Olga and Jerry (Luba). Walentina was a devoted grandmother to Anthony (Michelle), Natasha (Fabian), Andrea, Tania, Yakira, Xavier, Lianna and Andrea. Doting great-grandmother to her many great-grandchildren.
Walentina loved to spend time with her family, cooking and sewing. She was very motivated and extremely hardworking. She always ensured that her family was provided for and knew her love. She was also very strong-willed, and was known to be quite serious at times.
Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge) on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Funeral Service to follow at St. Volodymyr's Cultural Centre (1280 Dundas Street West, Oakville) at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at St. Volodymyr's Cemetery (1280 Dundas Street West, Oakville).
