Passed away peacefully on Monday December 11, 2023 at the age of 89. Devoted wife of the late Giuseppe. Proud mother of Maria (Rocco Calautti). Cherished Nonna of Sofia (Dan), Sam (Geneviève) and Diana (Andrew). She will be sadly missed by her many family and friends. Vittoria has been reunited with the love of her life Giuseppe.
A true lady who was always well dressed and elegant. Vittoria knew that first impressions were important and she would never leave her home without pressing every garment that she wore. She took the same approach with her home, it was always spotless.
Family was her main love, nothing made her happier than having her grand and great-grandchildren around her table devouring her homemade delights such as her cupcakes, bread and cakes. The smell of her baking will be with us forever.
Vittoria would always put others before herself. This made her the perfect hostess. She would make sure everyone had enough to eat. Growing up our family home had a revolving door with family and friends always coming to visit.
Giuseppe and Vittoria enjoyed the warmth of the Mexico sun in Acapulco. A trip with her father and sister to Australia to visit family was a great memory that Vittoria held tight.
Quiet time was enjoyed taking long walks and sewing which was her number one passion. She could always make something out of nothing.
Her great strength will live on in all of us. “We love you and will always remember you.”
Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge (just west of Pine Valley Drive) on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Friday December 15, 2023 at 10 a.m. at St. Padre Pio Church 5500 Major MacKenzie Dr., W., Kleinburg. Entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
