Virginia Taylor (nee Vose), the world’s best wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on Friday June 23, 2023, after a lengthy illness. Predeceased by her parents William and Edna Vose, and her brother Dennis Vose. Married to Herb Taylor for over 64 years, Virginia and Herb supported, respected and loved one another, never losing sight of the spark that originally brought them together. Virginia was extremely proud of her three children, Gregory (Eileen), Darcy (Bill), and Paige, as well as her ten grandchildren, Kelsey (Brandon), Adam (Agata), Taylor (Sarah), Jill, Emily, Blake (Alisha), Sarah (Carmine), William, Christian, and Evan. She regaled anyone and everyone with their many accomplishments, hopes and dreams. There are no words to adequately convey the joy she felt when surrounded by her family. Barbeques, birthday celebrations, holidays – every occasion was an event full of love, laughter, and food. This dynamic woman – a true force of nature – was truly one-of-a-kind.
The other passion in Virginia’s life was teaching. “Not your average eighty-two-year-old”, Virginia taught piano for fifty-three years, sharing her passion for music with humour, warmth, and love. Every student was her favourite - every lesson was the best one of the day. She truly enjoyed every moment spent with her many, many students.
Friends and family are welcome to share memories of Virginia at Ward’s Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road, Monday June 26, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. A Celebration of Life will commence at 10:00 am Tuesday June 27, at the Fellowship Presbyterian Church at 80 Thistle Down Blvd. Internment at Glendale Memorial Gardens will follow the service. Friends and family are once again welcome to attend a reception at the Fellowship Presbyterian Church following the internment.
