Passed away peacefully at Tall Pines Long Term Care in Brampton with family by her side in her 100th year. Virginia was born in Cobalt ON, moved to Timmins ON. As a child she attended Mattagami Public School. She worked at Snow White Laundry and Timmins New Method Laundry for many years. She loved blonde cocker-spaniels, humming birds and canaries. She also enjoyed playing cards and the board game “Aggravation” as well as circle-a-word puzzle books. Virginia moved to Silver Water, Manitoulin Island with her second husband where she resided for approximately twenty years.
Previously deceased by her parents Urena Pero and George McDonald, brothers John McDonald, Gilbert McDonald and Raymond McDonald and sisters Norma Lang, Mary Hilda, and an infant sister. Virginia was predeceased by her two loving husbands Arnold Buck (1971) and Earle Patterson (1994).
Virginia is survived by her three sisters-in-law Mildred McDonald, Lydia McDonald and Phyllis McDonald. Family would like to thank the staff and Dr. Harry Earl at Tall Pines for their loving care and compassion of our Aunt Gin. She will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
Family & Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home,52 Main Street South, Brampton on Sunday April 8th, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until a time of service in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Timmins Memorial Cemetery at a date to be determined.
