Vincenzo (Jim) Defina

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jim on Tuesday January the 14th, 2025 at the age of 69. Loving brother of Frank (Cathy) and Connie. Cherished uncle of Christina (Franco), Christopher (Bailey), Sara (James) and Michael (Valerie) and a great uncle to Matteo and Emily. He will be sadly missed by his many family and friends. Jim has been reunited with his loving parents Anna and Nicola.

Jim was born in the small town of Sant’Onofrio, Calabria, Italy. As a child he excelled in sports, always being the first selected to play ball. His love of table tennis took him to a professional level. He also played tennis and golf. In the colder weather Jim could be found indoors watching golf and tennis. He also enjoyed going to the gym and found walking though the neighborhood to be relaxing. 

Working in finance, he would always be watching the stock market especially the mining market.

Conversations and time spent with Jim over shared passion for sports or the market will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. He will also be deeply missed by his dear pet companion, Molly.
