Vincenzo Galluzzo
Passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Monday January 1, 2024 at the age of 79. Devoted husband of Filomena of 60 wonderful years. Proud father of Carm (Elio), Tony (Rosemary), Domenic (Nancy) and Julie (Pat). Cherished Nonno of Kristina (Joseph), Anthony (Sabrina), Cassandra (Alex), Vincent, Erica, Melissa, Olivia and Sofia. Vincenzo will be sadly missed by his sister Rita (Damiano), his brother in laws, sister in laws and his many nieces, nephews and friends.
Vince was born in Siderno, Italy to loving parents Antonio and Carmela. On December 24, 1958 he arrived by boat to pier 21 in Halifax with his mother and sister to join his father.
Vincenzo was a very social young man. His mother sent a picture of her handsome son to his aunt back to Italy. It was through her actions that he would eventually meet his wife to be Filomena Gullace.
Together the young couple worked hard and raised their family. They enjoyed spending time together socializing with family and friends. They loved going out dancing, going to concerts.
In his retirement years, Vincenzo enjoyed playing cards and bocce at the social club.
Nothing was more important than his family. His grandchildren meant the world to him. He loved being their personal Uber driver, this way he knew they made it to their destination safely.
Vincenzo had a sweet tooth and was known to enjoy his Tim Horton’s Boston Cream donuts and Wendy’s Frosty’s.
“Forever loved, always remembered.”
