With tremendous sadness and broken hearts, the family announces the passing of Vincent De Sante at his home in his 95th year.
Beloved husband of the late Yolanda for 69 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter in law Gaetane (late son Nicholas), grandson Jason and granddaughter Stephanie, siblings Joseph (Lorna), Rita and Michael and many nieces and nephews who enjoyed spending time with Uncle Vince.
Vince was a well known, successful contractor with Dorval construction and was generous with his time supporting many charities. In his retirement he started making woodcrafts which gave him great pleasure in donating them to charity functions and young children.
Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge, 905-851-9100 on Tuesday, March 30th from 5-9 pm. In accordance with the capacity restrictions, we ask that you RSVP at www.wardfuneralhome.com. The funeral mass will be private by family invite only at St. Margaret Mary Church, on Wednesday, March 31 at 12pm. The family asks that you watch the service from the comfort of your home through a livestream link being provided under the photos and videos tab on his obituary on the Ward website. Private entombment at Beechwood Cemetery.
If desired, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.
In accordance with the February 22, 2021 directives from the Municipality of York Region, Services can be held within the funeral home, accommodating no more individuals than 30% occupancy of our visitation rooms and/or Chapel.
Funeral services being held in a church or place of worship allow for a maximum of 30% building occupancy.
Wearing of masks or face coverings by everyone is mandatory as per the Provincial Regulations.
