With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Veronica Rita O’Leary (nee Steele) on Friday, July 1st 2016. Daughter of the late Margaret from Newfoundland. Veronica joins her late husband Edmund O’Leary with whom she shared 40 years of marriage. Beloved mother to Terry (Michelle), Donna (Jason), Christa (Troy) and Edmund Jr. (Robyn). Proud grandmother to Dylan, Kayla, Darren, Connor, Nathan and Avery. Loving sister to Paul, Wayne (pre-deceased), Don (pre-deceased), Gary (Wanda), John (Colleen), Randy (Carol) and special sister in-law to Dermot (Jean) and Kitty. Beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. Veronica shared many great moments over the years with her close friends and made it her life’s goal to bring joy, happiness and love to everybody in her life. If you knew Veronica, you knew you were getting at least one good phone call every single day. Friends will be welcomed to the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (north of Lawrence Ave. 416-241-4618) on Tuesday, July 5th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the Ward Chapel on Wednesday, July 6th at 1 p.m. Cremation will follow at Riverside Crematorium.
