Vera Widdifield

WIDDIFIELD, Vera Eveline (nee Fewings) - Passed away on May 12, 2010 at the age of 100. Beloved wife of the late Ivan Stewart Widdifield. Dear Mother of daughters Ann (David) of Toronto, Dona (Barry) of Kingston and Helen (Skip) of Lakefield. Loving grandmother to seven Grandchildren: Ian (Mark), Robb (Jaye), Eric (Leah), Kym (Jason), Robin (Darrell), Jason (Kim) and Ryan. Great-grandmother to Nicholas, Cassandra, Hunter, Kolby, Paige, Karson and Marley. Vera was a retired School Teacher from the Scarborough Board of Education and received a Centennial Award for her work with special needs children. Vera and her husband Ivan were avid world travellers who loved to share their travel stories and memories with family and friends. Visitation will be held at Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (north of Lawrence Avenue West), on Sunday, May 16 from 2 to 3 p.m. followed by a service. After the service, there will be a reception at Central United Church, 1 King Street (corner of Weston Road opposite the Funeral Home). Interment on Monday, May 17 at 11 a.m. at West Montrose. In lieu of flowers, donations to West Montrose United Church, West Montrose, Ontario, N0B 2V0 would be appreciated by the family.
