Vanda Battiston

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Vanda Battiston who passed away on February 5^th, 2024 surrounded by her beloved family. Vanda was the cherished wife of the late Bruno. She was the loving mother of Paola (Frank), Franco (Nadia) and Loris (Rachel).  The proud Nonna of Bruno, Giuliana, Steven, Cassandra and Daniela. She will be lovingly remembered by her extended family. 

Vanda was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She cherished her children and grandchildren, and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Nonna and took great joy in baking each of them their favourite cookies. She would always like to hear about her grandchildren’s accomplishments and special moments.  People who knew her would know her for her fierce devotion to her family. Vanda will be sadly missed, but never forgotten and always in our hearts.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge) on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to be held at St. Roch’s Parish (2889 Islington Ave. Weston) on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., with entombment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery.
