Valerie Foran

With profound sadness and much gratitude for all the wonderful memories she created with her family, friends and community, we announce the passing of Catherine Bridgette Valerie Foran, Sunday evening April 26th at Hawthorne Place Care Center, after a mercifully swift battle with covid-19.

Born November 10, 1926 in Grande Cascapédia-Saint-Jules, QC to Peter & Ida Foran, she was the sixth of eight children and only daughter.

Cherished "Aunt Val" to 18 nieces and nephews and special Great Aunt Val to Gabriel and Jude McGibney, she joins her beloved brothers Patrick, Jack, Lomer, Joe, Thomas, Bryan, Elmer and John in heavenly peace and will be dearly missed by all her beloved family and friends.

Retired in 1984 from St Joseph's Health Centre after over 40 years of service as a Registered Nurse with a special passion for Maternity Care. She is fondly remember by many of her colleagues and patients as well, for her smile and delightful sense of humour and love of sharing a good joke. Fond memories will forever be cherished by all whose lives she touched.
