Tullio De Francesco passed suddenly at his home on Wednesday, January 27th, 2021, at the age of 85. Beloved husband of the Late Maria. Proud and Loving Father of Lina and Orlando, Nella and Paul. Cherished, Loving and Proud Nunno of Sandra, Adrian, Gabriel and Michael. Tullio will be greatly missed by his entire family near and far, along with the many friends he made through the years.
Tullio, along with his wife Maria, left Italy for a better life in Canada where they raised their daughters. They taught them to love and respect, to be humble and kind, and make sure there was always good food on the table, a glass of vino and conversation.
Tullio worked as a stone builder and brick layer in Italy, and when he came to Canada, added painting, wall papering, and finally, carpentry and furniture making to his resume. Many ornate and simple workpieces, both big and small, were created in “Nonno’s Workshop”; these defined him as a “Master Carpenter”.
His door was always open for a glass of vino, a cup of coffee or just a chat. Always had a smile on his face and would always be ready to give advice. We have gained another angel to watch over us. Rest in Peace Pa, Daddy, Padres, Nunno, until we meet again.
In lieu of flowers a memorial donation in Tullio's memory made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
