Tracy Dort-Kyne

Tracy Ann Dort-Kyne 43 years of age passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto on Wednesday November 27th at 10:55 pm. She fought a courageous battle to live as a quadriplegic for the past two years after a cycling accident in Collingwood. Proud mother of her three beautiful boys; Christian (15), Malcolm (13) and Thomas (9). Tracy was the youngest daughter of Johanna and Malcolm Dort of Ottawa, sister to Lynn (Pang) of St. Louis and Lesley (Dort-Lendvai) of Toronto, sister-in-law to Darren Pang and Robert Lendvai, favourite Aunt to Tyler, Samantha and Abigail. Born in Willowdale, Ontario, Tracy grew up in Owen Sound and Ottawa, and moved to Toronto after graduating from Bishops University. She graduated with a degree in finance and worked at Richardson Greenshields, 20/20, AGF and her own investment firm. Tracy was a fun-loving, vibrant and generous person with a giving heart who thrived on living life to its fullest. Her love of fitness guided her life. She was a fitness instructor at Goodlife, Sportsclubs and Extreme Fitness with a dedicated following. She was an avid skier and cyclist spending summers and winters in Collingwood. She was a member at Craigleith Ski Club and a Board member of Bishops University Foundation. In lieu of flowers that Tracy so loved, donations can be made to Rick Hansen Foundation

Visitation will be held at Ward Funeral Home 2035 Weston Rd, (N of Lawrence Ave) Weston on Sunday December 1st from 5 pm to 8:30 pm. A celebration of life will be held at Eglinton St. George’s United Church 35 Lytton Blvd, Toronto on Monday December 2nd at 11:00 am with reception to follow.
