It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear father and grandfather, Tommaso (Masino) Maltese at Southlake Hospital on Saturday, December 25, 2021 in his 87th year with his four sons by his side.

Beloved husband of Giuseppina Privitera for 40 years (predeceased) and cherished father of Corrado, Lina (daughter-in-law), Raffaele, Anna (daughter-in-law), Salvatore, Lucie (daughter-in-law), and Riccardo (Rick). Proud and devoted grandfather to Josie, Thomas-Anthony, Gianluca and Susanna. He was also a caring companion to the beloved Pinuccia Controscieri (predeceased).

Tommaso was born in Rosolini, Sicily and moved to Canada in 1958 to pursue his life and form a family with beloved wife Giuseppina. His commitment to his family was unwavering and to his friends he was always a beacon of inspiration. Tommaso was everything that is good in this world.

Tommaso leaves behind his sisters, Tina (in Italy) and Maria (in Canada) and Sister-in-law Maria and husband Corrado Sortino and various nieces and nephews. Tommaso will also be sadly missed by many other relatives and dear friends in Canada, Italy and the United States.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to ShareLife, a charitable organization associated with the Archdiocese of Toronto. Tommaso was also a devout of St. Padre Pio. You can also choose to make a donation in his memory to St. Padre Pio in Italy.
