Tommasina Biondi (née Mazzucco)

May 1, 1932 - September 25, 2023

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our dearest matriarch, Tommasina Biondi on September 25, 2023 in her 91st year with her loving family by her side.

Tommasina is now reunited with the love of her life, Giampaolo, with whom she spent 66 wonderful years. Knowing each other since they were children, they made the decision to get married and move to Canada. Together they had three daughters, Maria (Richard), Nancy (Dan) and Paula (Danny). She was a devoted grandmother to Melissa (Mario), Sarah (Justin), Alexandra (Joseph), Rebecca, John-Paul, and Isabella. Proud great grandmother to Michaela, Giuseppe, Rudy, Leora, Scarlett and Dean. Tommasina has also been reunited with her parents Carmine and Laura Mazzucco, and brothers Bernardo and Pasquale.

She was a very strong woman with deep beliefs. Tommasina loved to spend time entertaining her family, but especially enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also had a passion for decorating and enjoyed spending her time cooking, sewing and dancing when she could.

Friends and family will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge) on Thursday, September 28, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place at St. Padre Pio Church (5500 Major Mackenzie Drive West, Kleinburg) on Friday, September 29, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery (8361 Yonge Street, Thornhill).

In loving memory of Tommasina Biondi memorial donations may be made to Hospice Vaughan or CAMH in lieu of flowers.
