Tokiye Nishimura

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Tokiye Nishimura (Shinmoto) on
Tuesday January 5, 2021. In her 90th year, Toki can now rest with Checker,
her loving husband of 63 years, who passed away last year.
After five courageous years enduring Alzheimer’s Disease, Toki’s vibrant life was
suddenly taken by Covid19. Loving mother to Judy (Richard) and Doug (Kim), grandmother
to Robbie (Andrea), and special friend to Margaret B and The Joe.
Tokiye was predeceased by sisters Shizuko, Kiyomi, Harumi and brothers Shig, Mike, Yosh.
Due to Covid19 restrictions, a private service will be held.
Family and friends will be received at a later date for a Celebration of Life.
Memorial donations to Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated.
