It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the abrupt ending of Tina’s life on April 13, 2010. Tina was one of seven siblings born in Leeuwarden, Friesland, Netherlands on August 22, 1944. She was the mother hen of the family; always looking out for everyone. She was full of laughter and entrenched in everyone’s life. Tina loved her life, always telling friends, “Does it get any better?” Her life motto was, “Seize the moment, life is short.” Tina truly did savor every moment with friends and family. Tina’s community service, both locally and internationally, was never ending. She was an active volunteer at Mission for Bibles store, a board member at Holland Christian Homes and an active mission participant in India. She participated in many activities at Kennedy Road Tabernacle and was a long time employee of Ontario Hydro. Tina truly lived life to the fullest, loved God with all her heart and travelled to many parts of the world, except Heaven, her last stop. Tina is survived by her brother Peter, sister-in-law Mara, brother Allan, sister-in-law Ellie, brother Corry, sister Gazina and brother-in-law Bob, sister Trudy and brother-in-law Robbie, and brother John. She will be dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends. Family and Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home “Brampton Chapel”, 52 Main Street South (Hwy 10), Brampton on Sunday, April 18th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 19th at 10 am, with visiting one hour prior to service, in the Kennedy Road Tabernacle, 140 Kennedy Road N., Brampton. Interment to follow in Meadowvale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Bibles for Missions thrift store, Brampton would be appreciated by the family.
