The family of Timothy Frank Baker of Brampton, Ontario are saddened to announce his passing on April 15, 2023 at the age of sixty-six years.

Born in Matheson, Ontario, Tim was the son of the late Robert Deniston and Nancy Mary Louise (Nichol) Baker. Tim's father was a Mining Engineer whose career took the family to remote locations throughout Canada. Tim often shared fond memories of his childhood days spent at a family cottage on Perry Lake. Tim and his brother, Rory, spent endless hours as co-adventurers on the lake in their little aluminum boat. Kings of the world! It was a very idyllic life where all the boys learned to swim, ski and sail. His mother, Nancy, had many other humorous tales of Tim and his brothers' shenanigans as they explored the nearby woods and waters. Tim and his family eventually moved to Miramichi, NB in the mid-sixties. He was a graduate of James M. Hill High School in Chatham, NB. Tim was blessed with strong academic skills, particularly in mathematics. One family tale involved a high school math teacher. Tim's twinkling brown eyes and charm failed to save him from his teacher's wrath, sparked by Tim noting errors in the teachers’ math as he instructed the class. Tim breezed through trade school, becoming a Millwright, launching a lengthy and successful career in this field. He began working in Western Canada where he was involved in many adventures with his two older brothers, Peter and Rory. An opportunity with Nestle Canada brought him to Ontario where he resided in the Campbellville area for many years. Tim was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He travelled Canada on his bikes and experienced much joy from this passion. He was well known in the area as he loved to cruise about on his bike, together with his beloved (two-hundred-pound Great Pyrenees) Maverick, in a sidecar. His other passions were dogs (Max, Maverick, Spark and Rufus) and all things mechanical. If it was anything mechanical, he could fix it.

Tim is survived by his companion, Monica Malcolm, her daughters and grandchildren of Brampton, Ontario; he will be very much missed by his brothers; Peter of Miramichi, NB, Rory (Susan) of Coquitlam, BC, Andrew Baker (Nancy) of Halifax, NS, his nieces and nephews: Darcie, Mitch, Niklas, Nate and Samantha Baker, and his ex-wife Janet Arsenault.

A private, family celebration of life will be held later in Miramichi, NB.
