It is with great sadness that our family mourns the passing of Timothy our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, friend & leader.
Timothy Leroy Berry passed away at Hill House Hospice on Monday, January 15, 2024. He fought a hard battle with leukemia until the very end. He was born to Margaret & Ronald Berry in Sarnia, on March 12, 1965. He was the devoted husband of Sonja ‘nee Leivo’. Loving father of Stefan (Kylie), Alannah & Brandyn. Loving brother of Cathy & Susan (Dale) and brother-in-law to James (Michelle). Cherished son in law to June (late Ernest). Dear uncle to Jessica, Jason, Jenelle, Ezra, Charlotte, Dale & Caleb.
Timothy was an honest and hardworking man, his friends and family will remember him as a kind, gentle, loving & caring man. Timothy and Sonja, married in Sarnia and moved to Vancouver in 1992 to pursue their careers where they had their three amazing children. He loved spending time with his children watching them grow. Eventually the family moved to Toronto in 2000 to seek further employment opportunities and be close to family. Nothing made him happier than being surrounded by his loved ones.
At the age of 22, Timothy gave his life to Jesus and he was forever changed. He was a living example on earth of God’s perfect love. He devoted his life in the church, encouraging others in their faith.
Timothy also enjoyed his work as an electrician for Advance Tent Rentals and later as an inspector for ESA. He developed many friendships both professionally and personally which he has always cherished.
Family and Friends will be received at Langstaff Assembly (1350 Langstaff Road, Thornhill, L4J 8P8) for the funeral service on Monday, January 22, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. The burial to be held at the Wyoming Public Cemetery, Ontario (450 Isabella Street in Wyoming) on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.
While we all mourn him, we know what great trust he had in the promises of Jesus. What great confidence he had in his faith, what great joy he had in the very thought of being home with Jesus.
"Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer." (Psalms 19:14)
