Therese Lachapelle

LACHAPELLE, Therese
Therese passed away as she wished,
at home and surrounded by her
loving family, after a lengthy battle
with cancer, on December 3, 2014 in
Brampton in her 90th year.
Therese is predeceased by her loving
husband of 60 years, Robert
(deceased 2007). Therese will be
greatly missed by her three children:
son Michael (wife Mary), daughter
Donna Davison (husband John), and
daughter Margaret Francis (Allan,
deceased). Therese will be lovingly
remembered by her grandchildren
and their spouses: Jason Davison
(wife Lyndsey), and Sean Davison;
and Stephanie Lachapelle, Jennifer
Bruxer (husband Jake), and Marc
Lachapelle; also her three beautiful
great-grandchildren Kaitlyn Lachapelle
and Henry and Duncan Bruxer.
Therese was the 10th child of 16
children born to Jean-Baptiste and
Rose (Dionne) Desilets. She is
survived by her sister Soeur Rachel
Desilets (Les Soeurs de L'Assumption),
and by her two brothers Henri (Rita,
deceased) and Maurice (wife
Marilyn) all of North Bay, as well as
many, many nieces and nephews.
Therese and Robert also enjoyed the
happiness of having a second family
- their backyard neighbour and best
friends, Louise and Aubin Arsenault
and their two children Paul and
Carole Gray (husband Norm and
their children Melissa and Trevor)
and were always lovingly included
and considered part of their family
too.
Therese retired after 26 years from
CIL Plastics Division, Brampton
where everyone there knew her as
their kind, caring, hardworking,
personal personnel Secretary.
Cremation has taken place and the
burial of her ashes next to her
husband will take place at a later
date in their hometown of North
Bay at a private family gathering.
The family would like to extend our
most sincere appreciation to
Dr. Alvin Kelly and his Palliative Care
Team, especially for making it
possible for our Mother to remain in
her home and receive exceptional
care. And thanks to our Brampton
West CCAC and to their agencies
who provided Mother with
wonderful and caring Nurses and
Personal Support Workers. And
thank you to "Muriel" from Heart
House Hospice - our volunteer angel.
You all made our Mother's last
months endurable, comfortable, and
worth living.
MOTHER, YOU WERE SPECIAL.
