Suddenly at home on December 26, 2013 – best friend and beloved husband of Janet (nee Johnson) and devoted father to Wendy Jackman (Dan) and Michael (Katherine). Proud grandfather of four wonderful grandchildren: Mallory, Walton, Rachel and Avery.
Born September 11, 1933 in Oakville to Geoffrey and Estelle Webber.
John practiced law in Brampton as a senior partner with Lawrence, Lawrence, Stevenson and Webber, was appointed to the County Court of Ontario in 1979, and was appointed Regional Senior Justice of the Superior Court in 1985. Upon his retirement in 1998, John joined ADR Chambers in Toronto as a mediator and arbitrator.
Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home “Brampton Chapel”, 52 Main Street South (Hwy 10), Brampton on Sunday December 29 from 5-8pm. Funeral service on Monday, December 30 at Christ Church Anglican, 4 Elizabeth St. N., Brampton at 11 am. Cremation to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Oncology Department at William Osler Health Center, Brampton would be appreciated.
