Teresa Shortreed

Teresa passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at Etobicoke General Hospital on Friday, January 17, 2020, at the age of 79. She was born to the late Francesco and Marietta Esposito, on February 8th, 1940 in Paterno Calabro, Cosenza, Italy.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, George Edward Shortreed. She will be missed dearly by her partner of 15 years, Giuseppe Gottardi; her children and their spouses, Don and Jean and Sandra and Gino; her grandchildren Sara, Nicole, Conor and Emma; and her siblings Gino (Julia-Ann), Valentino and Edualdo. She will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Teresa loved going to Florida, gardening, cooking, playing card games, going for walks and spending time with her family. She will be forever remembered by her family for her kind, beautiful spirit, her hilarious sense of humour, and her no nonsense approach to life.

Resting at Ward Funeral Home, located at 2035 Weston Road, on Monday, January 20, 2020, from 2pm - 4pm, and 6pm - 9pm. The funeral service will be at 11am on Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at the Ward Funeral Home’s, Weston Chapel.
