"I don't know where I'm going from here, but I promise it won't be boring." - David Bowie
Loving mother to David and Daniel, her two greatest gifts. Dedicated and hard working, she spent 23 years raising them as a single super mother. She retired in April 2022 and was seated to enjoy it to the fullest with her first grandchild soon to be born who arrived the day after she passed. Teresa was not just David and Daniel's mum, she looked after the hearts of every friend she had, never sparing an ounce of empathy for those she loved. She always took the time to reflect and consider all walks of life. When someone would pass, she would be upset but would also accept that it was their time. She carried this same peace about her own life. She was such a gentle soul that she would only ever ask the bugs to leave her home, refusing to even kill them, because a life was a life, no matter the size.
The world asked nothing of Teresa, and she gave it everything and more. A red light at a traffic stop would never make her late or frustrated, as she always claimed there was an extra minute in her day. Teresa lived with hope in her heart, and love in her eyes. When something seemed to be falling apart, she always held on to the side of hope.
If you were blessed to know Teresa, she will be with you always. If you miss her, close your eyes and look inside yourself.
She is all around us. The person she was is always there. Just not her physical.
She always looked at her physical self as something borrowed, something temporary, until her true self could move on.
Love you forever and always, that was her motto.
Love and Light.
"All those times I didn't have the cake, it didn't really matter did it? So have the cake."
