Sylvia Dexter

It is with great sadness that the family of Sylvia Dexter (Cox), announce her sudden passing on Thursday June 13, 2019 at the age of 74.

Born January 14, 1945 in Edinburgh, Scotland, Sylvia immigrated to Canada with her family when she was 18 months old. Sylvia worked for the city of Brampton and after retirement Sylvia devoted much of her time as a caregiver to family members, including her mother.

Sylvia will be lovingly remembered by her son, Derek Schmitt (Kathy Rumsey), her mother, Anne Cox, her two sisters, Linda (Ross Swepson) and Brenda (Chuck Benstead); and numerous other family members and friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 15, 80 Mary St, Brampton on Sunday June 23rd between 1-4pm.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
