CARRIGAN, Sylvia

Passed away peacefully on December 18, 2013 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 78 after a long battle with Alzheimers. Loving wife of Danny for 51 wonderful years. Beloved Mom of Maureen (Hugh) and Trish (Ian). Adored and best Nana to Katie, Jessica, Sarah and Franco. Will be deeply missed by her brother Mike (a.k.a.Bruds) and his wife Judy. Dear friend of Margaret Whyte.
Sylvia’s career as a passionate, devoted and dedicated teacher began in Cape Breton and ended with her retirement from the MSSB in 1996. She was respected and admired by all who crossed her path.

Family and Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home “Brampton Chapel”, 52 Main Street South (Hwy 10), Brampton on Friday December 20, 2013 from 2-9 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday December 21, 2013 at 1030 am from St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 66A Main Street South, Brampton.
