Sylvia Cappuccitti, beloved wife of Joseph Cappuccitti deceased in 2005, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 31, 2019 after a short illness. She was 91 years old. Sylvia emigrated to Canada from Sora, Italy in 1954 to be with her husband and settled in Toronto. She had a distinguished career at Bank of Montreal for 39 years, starting as a clerk typist and in 1968 became the first female bank manager in Canada. Sylvia was a very strong woman, successful business person, highly intelligent and caring. After retirement, she donated much of her time to Italian charities and her family. She was unique in that she could manage the complexities of running a bank yet at the same time go home to a family and care for them like a typical Italian mother and wife. She was the last of 8 brothers and sisters. Sylvia is survived by her two sons Frank and Enzo Cappuccitti, 4 grandchildren Christopher, Michael, Mark and Melanie Cappuccitti and 2 daughters-in-law Janet MacIntyre Cappuccitti and Yadira Castro.
