Susan Urkis

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Susan Anna Urkis, beloved wife, Sister, Aunt, friend January 21, 2017 at home. Susan will be dearly missed by her husband Albinas (Al), brother Peter (Ann), niece Jennifer and nephew Douglas and her many friends and extended family

Susan was born and lived in England until 1973. After moving to Canada, Susan spent time in Bobcaygeon and Toronto. In 1988 after marrying Al, the love of her life, they moved to Brampton enjoying many happy years together.

Susan loved to travel, especially if there was a craft show along the way. Drives with Al to Myrtle Beach and Florida to vacation and see special relatives always provided a good opportunity for some knitting. Susan had a special place in her heart for her close friends, godson Jack and her cherished cats.
Caring, sensitive and a courageous fighter till the end, you will always be in our hearts.

We welcome you to celebrate Susan with us at WARD FUNERAL HOME (52 Main Street South, Brampton) on Saturday January 28th from 9-11 a.m. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at SAINT JOHN’S LITHUANIAN CEMETERY (2185 Stave Bank Dr. Mississauga).
In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or Kidney Foundation. Please visit our Book of Memories at www.wardfuneralhome.com
