So many of us have lost a special soul who will live on in our hearts and memories. Stephen died in hospital four days after heart bypass surgery. Son of the late Hubert Vogt, he is survived by his beloved mother Anna (nee Broermann), his loving brothers Hubert (Barbara), Gregory (Catharina) and George (Angela), as well as his cherished nieces Monika, Elizabeth, SarahAnn, AlanaSophia and Helena, and nephews Andrew, Jonathan Lukas and Oskar Philip. Always kind and generous to a fault, he was loved and appreciated by family, friends, neighbours and co-workers. Whether it was caring for aging parents in his home, babysitting his nieces and nephews, helping a brother with home renovations, a niece with an oil change for her car, or a neighbour with snow blowing – Stephen was always there to help. Stephen enjoyed cooking, new gadgets, and sharing a joke, a smile or an uplifting comment. He always gave you the larger share of whatever he had.

The family will receive friends at Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road, Toronto on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 from 6 to 9 pm. Funeral services will be at All Saints RC Church, 1415 Royal York Road, Toronto on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 9:30 am. with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
