Steve passed away peacefully at home on October 12, 2020 after a short illness. He is predeceased by his father George (Isabelle) and mother Jean and inlaws Donald and Violet Phinney.
Steve is survived by his wife Debbie, his son Joey(Linh), grandson, Reed, and Son Andrew (Louis).
He is also survived by sister in law Jackie (Troy), brother in laws Jerry (Gerry), Ross, nephews, Ed,(Caron) Tyler, Ryan, nieces , Amber, Paige, Jenna and great niece Carln and great nephew, Lucas. He leaves behind two brothers, Rick (Coleen) and Gerry (Karen) and their children.
Steve married the love of his life, Debbie on June 11, 1977. They raised two sons, Joey and Andrew. In October, 2018, he was blessed with the arrival of his grandson, Reed who always brought a smile to his face. "Gampa" and Reed enjoyed their story time together.
Steve was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia. His father, being in the air force, gave Steve the opportunity to travel and live in different parts of the world. He enjoyed talking about these experiences and sharing his stories.
Steve had a passion for music and playing his guitar. He was also an avid collector of Beatles memorabilia. IMAGINE. He was known for his quick wit and eagerness to have a good debate (and oh he did like to debate and share his opinion, whether you wanted to hear it or not!) He loved his dogs, Molly and Lexie who gave him comfort in his last days. Steve enjoyed a good game of Yahtzee with Debbie while they listened to classic rock on a Sunday afternoon. He will be fondly missed and remembered by his loving family and friends.

Cremation has taken place and due to covid restrictions, a celebration of life will take place with his immediate family.
