Our beloved mother passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family, on Monday May 27th, 2013 at the age of 81. Beloved wife of the late Michael. Loving mother of Nicholas and his wife Olga, and Penny. Cherished Yiayia of Michael and his wife Angela, Alexander and his wife Natalie, Krista, George and the late Jonathan. Great Yiayia of Jonathan, Lia, Sophia and Mila. Dear sister of Despina, Vangelitsa, Koula, and Tasoula. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. J. Maniate, Dr. C. Jeney and Dr. E. Stroz for all of their care and support that they gave to Sophie.She was the matriach of our family, thank you for 81 years of patience, understanding and being the strength of our family.
Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston, on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church 136 Sorauren Ave in Toronto on Friday May 31st , 2013 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Park Lawn Cemetery .
