Sophia Lorraine Brown

Sophia Lorraine Brown 53 years of age, so young passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday, July 5, 2024, with the love of her family surrounding her.

Sophia was born on June 16 1971 in Kingston, Jamaica while her parents were on vacation to Judith and Sydney Brown. She then immigrated to Toronto, Canada with her brother David Brown at the age of four to be with the rest of her siblings Patricia, Robert, Shirley, Alvin, and Joanne her favourite of them all. Sophia has always been a determined and self-motivated woman. She had her degrees in Property Management, Culinary and Nursing. She was a Triple threat. A woman of all trades there wasn’t nothing she couldn’t do if she didn’t put her mind to it. Unfortunately in the early 2000’s Sophia had broken her hip due to a fall while at work.

She has since devoted her life to raising her four beautiful children First born son Tiaven Brown, followed by her second-born daughter Aaliyah Brown, It doesn’t stop there third comes Adonis Brown and last but not least Crystal Brown. Sophia was the best mother and father figure anyone could ask for. She was great at giving advice no matter the situation without judgment, she loved to hype or as some people call it encourage her kids and constantly remind them of how much she loved and cherished them and how proud she was of their growth within one another, which speaks volume to the type of mother, sister, and grandmother she was.

Sophia has always been the life of the party, her presence goes unseen. Sophia impacted a lot of lives of those around her; People seem to gravitate naturally. Sophia enjoyed listening to all types of music, spending time outside; at the beach, and watching movies/TV shows, especially watching Mukbang’s of her favourite YouTubers. Sophia always said she wanted to take a trip to Thailand to experience the amazing food with her daughter Aaliyah and grandkids Aalayah and Santana.

She will be missed by her children, Tiaven, Aaliyah, Adonis & Crystal; grandchildren, Aalayah (11), Santana (5), D’angelo (6), Valentina (3), Tydaine (9) and Carter (7); as well as numerous nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.

Sophia was predeceased by her parents, Judith and Sydney; siblings, Larry, Patrica, Alvin, Robert, Shirley, Joanne and David.
