Silvio Andreetta

Silvio Andreetta, beloved husband and loving grandfather, passed away peacefully Sunday September 27, 2020, with his family by his side at the age of 91.

He is survived by his wife and best friend of 60 years Giuliana (nee Vettoretti). Loving father of Claudio (Stefania) Andreetta, and Nancy (Luca Cirulli) Andreetta. Proud grandfather to Jacqueline Andreetta, Samantha Andreetta, Nicole Andreetta, and Alessia Cirulli. Beloved brother to Emilio Andreetta, and Ida Briguori. Dear brother-in-law of Walter (Judy) Vettoretti. Silvio will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Silvio was a skilled carpenter and passionate craftsman and prided himself on being able to help friends and neighbours alike with their construction, renovation or household projects. He was also a devoted family man and was very proud to encourage his children to pursue a university degree and successful careers. On Sundays he could always be found at the head of the table presiding over family meals which gave him the utmost pleasure. True to his Italian sporting heritage he followed soccer, cycling and formula one racing many weekend mornings.
He will be fondly remembered by his extended family all over the world, and his many good friends, and neighbours.

Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave) Weston on Tuesday from 6pm to 9pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday September 30th, 2020 at 9:30am at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 2100 Jane Street, Toronto.

In lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
