Passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Friday February 16, 2024 just shy of her 85th birthday. Devoted wife of her late husband Giovanni. Proud mother of Nadia (Robert) and her late son Claudio. Cherished Nonna of Michael, Stephanie and Jessica (Adamo). She will be sadly missed by her many family and friends and the family dog Toby. Silvana has been reunited with the love of her life Giovanni and her beautiful son Claudio.

Silvana was a wonderful grandmother, to her three grandchildren. She watched Michael while mom was working and raised Jessica for seven years while mom tended to Stephanie.

Silvana was an amazing cook, you would find her in the kitchen cooking up such specialties as wild game. Her son in law, Robert will miss those special dishes that only she could cook like moose, venison and rabbit.

Christmas was always a favorite past time in the De Pellegrin house where the family would gather and bake Christmas cookies. Everyone raved about the cookies they would get from our massive Christmas stash.

Silvana loved spending time at the cottage being outdoors and spending time with her girlfriends, Emma, Felicina, Maria and Angela. They would cook up lavish meals followed with a serious game of bingo.

The bus trips to Niagara Falls with her casino friends like Adriana, Edi and Lori were always a hit and never to be missed.

Quiet times were enjoyed in her garden tending to her vegetables and her beloved flowers.

   “Forever loved, always remembered.”

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge (just west of Pine Valley Dr.) on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday February 21, 2024 at 11 a.m. in the Ward Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
