Silbert Rodney

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Silbert Rodney on July 2nd, 2020 at the age of 83. He is now reunited in heaven with his beloved wife Myrtle. Silbert lived a faith-filled life of integrity, and kindness. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his Son and Daughter in-law.

Silbert is survived by his only Son Michael Rodney and Daughter in-law Judy Rodney. two granddaughters: Amanda Rodney and Megan Clarke-Singh (Nathan), and two great granddaughters, Harmony and Hannah. He is also survived by his sisters, Nedris Morris, Ivorine Samaru, Ritilda Rumble, Adel Gooden, Joy Case, Sister in-laws Cynthia Foster, Margaret Johnson ( Mike ), and Evelyn Case, and by his brothers Ruphert Rodney and Pet Rodney. Silbert leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

The life that he led and the care and love that he showed to all will be an example for all of us and will continue to both guide and comfort us.

In accordance with the June 13th, 2020 directive from the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, Funeral Services can be held within the funeral home, accommodating no more individuals than 30% capacity of our visitation rooms and/or on site Chapel. With the increased allowance for family and friends to receive and offer condolences, adherence to social distancing remains. Funeral Services being held in a place of worship allow for no more individuals than 30% capacity unique to each place of worship. Wearing of masks, or face coverings, by everyone is mandatory as per the directives of the Bereavement Authority. This includes ALL staff and attendees. Masks will be provided to those guests who may not have their own.

In accordance with the directives provided from the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, funeral services may be held within the funeral home with 30 % capacity of visitations rooms and the onsite chapel. Funeral Services may also be held at a place of worship with the same 30% capacity mandate. To allow your extended family and friends to offer their condolences, our spacious rooms and chapels continue to allow for social distancing requirements.
