Loving memory of Sidney John Stevens
August 23, 1931 - October 4, 2023

Sidney John Stevens, aged 92, peacefully departed this world on October 4, 2023, at 2:40am surrounded by the warmth and comfort from his loving and devoted daughter, Debbie.

Sidney dedicated 25 years of his life to General Electric, leaving a lasting impact on both his colleagues and the company. His commitment and hard work were a testament to his character.

A proud father, Sidney loved and cherished his five children, Susan, Robert, Laura, Debbie, and Paul. His love extended beyond his immediate family to include numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with their beloved papa.

Sidney's heart was forever connected to his late wife Gwendolyn, who passed away in 1994. It brings us comfort to know that they are now reunited.

In addition to his professional achievements, Sidney was passionate about music, finding solace and joy in playing the piano. His home on St. Lucie Drive echoed with the harmonies of family gatherings, a testament to the love and laughter that filled his life.

Born to Emily Ellen Backway and Augustus Charles Stevens, Sidney's legacy lives on through the generations he leaves behind. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

A memorial service to celebrate Sidney's life will be held on Saturday, October 7th, 2023. at Wards Funeral Home in Weston. In lieu of flowers, Sidney’s only request was to love and cherish each other.
