Shirley MacAllister

Shirley Drope MacAllister passed
away unexpectedly on
November 24, 2014 in her 88th
year. Shirley was the dearly
loved wife of the late John E.M
MacAllister (2005) and the
beloved mother of the late
Robert Munroe (Annette Pipher)
and Susan Morawetz (Geoffrey)
She was the dear grandmother
of Brett, Ryan and Kenny Pipher
and Jack, Erin and Colleen
Morawetz and the great-
grandmother of Julia Rose
Evans-Morawetz. Shirley was the
dear sister of the late Lettice
McKenzie and Pauline Browes
and 'Aunt Shirley' to many
nieces and nephews and
grandnieces and nephews.
Shirley was the daughter of the
late Major Robert Earle Drope
and Clara Drope and was born
and lived her formative years in
Harwood, Ontario. She taught
school for many years in
Hamilton Township, St. Catharines, Scarborough, and
Peel. Shirley was a singer and a
choral conductor.
Shirley cared for her family with
a deep and abiding love. She had
many friends from every place
that she had lived and from
every activity that she pursued.
Shirley was a person of deep
faith and she has gone to be
with her Lord.
A funeral service will be held at
St. John's United Church, 262
Randall Street, Oakville, Ontario
on Friday, November 28, 2014 at
1:00 p.m. A reception in the
Church Hall will follow the
funeral.
